Questions & Answers

What inspired you to write the book, Stop Your Ticking Time Bomb Now?

I am grateful to have helped thousands of people all over the world overcome stress in their lives, allowing them to understand the causes and effects of certain behaviours.  It is so rewarding for me to teach people actionable steps that make a life-changing difference for them.

The science of the mind and anything having to do with the mind-body connection is absolutely fascinating for me.  I have studied psychology for over 20 years (it has gone by so fast), and now I’m an expert in the study of the mind and behaviour.  My approach includes natural medicine, which makes me feel great about my work.  All of these reasons have led to why I am now making this knowledge available globally through the release of my new book, Stop Your Ticking Time Bomb Now.

How did you enter the field of psychology?

I have always been passionate about helping people, particularly through education.  My original goal was to become a medical doctor (MD), which was always my intention.  However, due to some challenges at that time, psychology was the second best option available to me. Instead of letting those challenges get the best of me and giving up altogether, I decided to give the field of psychology a try.

It’s amazing how “life happens,” because this field has truly brought out many of my passions for helping people improve their health, not only mentally but also physically and emotionally.

What personal reasons led to psychology becoming your life’s work?

My first experience with psychology began when I was 15-years-old.  I started a four years intensive training as a primary teacher, which was 5 days a week from 7 AM to 5 PM.  During this period,  I studied psychology, methodologies, pedagogy, and many other topics on a deep level.  These advanced studies allowed me to realise that teaching was my passion, which began my mission as a special needs teacher for those with learning challenges.

When I was 19, I continued my psychology studies at university. I developed a strong foundation in the areas of medicine, including anatomy (theory and practice), physiology, biology, neurology, psychopathology and psychopharmacology.  These classes were so interesting to me that I felt like a child at Disneyland!  My profound interest about how the human body works continued to develop, especially in regard to its connection to the mind.

What else has supported your passion for write this book?

I have had many ups and downs in my own life, so I understand what many people go through.  Everyone experiences stress on some level, and we all have different ways of managing it.  When I was going through the worst stress in my life, I tried everything that was available to me.  I sought out solutions that only I was aware of at the time, but there were also many natural options that i didn't become familiar with until later.

My goal is to educate people about all of the options available to them, especially in regard to natural remedies and preventative actions.  I have won the battle against stress and depression in my own life, which is why I have begun to share my knowledge with others.  The more positive results I see in other peoples’ lives, the more my passion to share my expertise is fueled.   This book is the result of this passion, and my intention is to make this knowledge available to everyone who has ever experienced stress.  I feel it is my responsibility to share this because it can truly save lives!
